    Desperate, Lonely Things

It's 3am Where are you going? Constantly moving But no one is growing Forward is backward Down is up The answer is not In a half empty cup The riddle continues Who knows what tomorrow may bring We have to stop trusting In desperate, lonely things   The night it may call...

    • This is quite a spiritual and mystical piece.

It reveals the darker side of nature. Vultures are not cute, that’s for sure.

Some heaviness throughout, but very engaging to the reader.

      I quietly enjoyed this. x

    • That means a lot Rosie. Thank you for your words and for reading.

    • hello dearest poet to me this reads like a woman or a man who didn’t take a chance on their love even though they weren’t happy in their situation I really felt this one ❤️

      • I am thankful for your interpretation. In truth, I am not sure what it’s about myself. It could mean so many things as to what I was experiencing at that time. Maybe you are on to something in my subconscious. This just came to me within 5 minutes and I quickly wrote it down. When it was over I just stared at it wondering where in the world it came from. Thank you for reading it.

    • Powerfully penned, Brandon. Another excellent write with amazing flow my friend. You’re on quite a roll, nicely done. Appreciate you.

    • Vultures get a negative reputation but they actually clean the bones of rotting flesh. This piece makes my mind spin with possibility. Who is the vulture? Who is rotting? There’s layers in this and I love me some layers!

      • This piece is actually maybe 10 years old. Been sitting in my notebook. I mentioned above it took me 5 or 10 minutes to write and when it was over I was baffled as to where it came from. Maybe I had a few things on my mind that night. That would explain the layers. Glad you like them!
