Is This A Memoir? Entry 3

Mom never discussed the loss of her first baby or the events of that day much after that, maybe once or twice she brought it up to me later in life. Matter of fact now that I think about...

    • Powerfully penned, Anna. Heartfelt storytelling my friend that comes through in your writes. Authentic emotion from your words pulls at the heartstrings of the reader, in this instance myself. Thanks for sharing. Appreciate you.

      • Thank you Damian, I appreciate all your kind words and taking time out to read.

    • just a quick note; Give some spacing (paragraphs) to this, please. It makes it much easier to follow for the reader.
I am curious by nature about the human condition/s, so I’m following your story along. Some line breaks, etc, would really serve this well.

      • Im sorry, my mind is just burnt out, im just dumping baggage not giving thought to structure, ill try to apply your suggestions. Thank you for your kind instruction, help is nice, but if I end up writing the same way my apologies in advance. 😂

    Sisyphus Task

Day in, day out the same routine Rolling a stone up a hill, steep and tall  Condemned to watch its fateful fall  No light at the tunnel's end to be seen    Keep it rolling, it's your job  Keep it rolling, up to the top    You...

    • What a wonderful thing to read today. The routines of work life do indeed wear us down. Although I tend to daydream much of the day away. I usually have very busy days at work. But, I try to take little breaks to maintain my decent mood the best I can. Your write here is a great testament to how to deal with that.
      Awesome result, Elke.

      • Thank you so much for your kind comment, dear Styx! You are absolutely right, breaks are equally important as work. And daydreaming is by far more than an escape from reality. It can be a real fountain of creativity and inspiration . When you don’t wreck your brain was tasks and problems, you are mine is open to receive new ideas. This way, serendipity helped the most brilliant ideas to manifest in reality. Go on like this, it’s a great attitude!

      • I have to apologize for the typing errors.
One sentence should read : when you don’t rack your brain… You are open to receive new ideas

    • You capture the grind and the small awakenings with quiet grit—the stone never stops, but neither does the heart.
The contrast between monotony and fleeting beauty lands like a soft punch; it lingers in the chest.

    • “Keep it rolling, do your duty

Yet be aware of life’s beauty” Priceless!! Well done, Elke! “)
