Superb contrast between the innocent vulnerable hapless victim and the absinthe and the thieving whore. God, you’re on fire, Thomas.

Like Jenny from Forest Gump; perhaps she can be reformed. LOL.
Your prose is spot on. The descriptive elements set a shadowy stage, highlights are found in the wording.
Great atmospheric build.

He was giving Eddie his moment to shine. Rick was already established. Ode fact: Rick James and Neil Young were in a band together called the Mynah Birds. Circa: 1964 to 1967. They did not release an album though.

Always searching for an opportunity to catch a photo of the old man on the mountain. My camera is never ready! He is quicker than he looks.
Intricate phonetics both personal and universal. Top notch word play, both fierce & peaceful. Much respect for this wilderness of word!

Excellent crafting here. Such a strong entry to compliment this site.
It does have an outdoorsy feel to it, but that could be the picture leading me that direction. At any rate, the words build the bear! -
A beautiful blend of wit and wisdom, wrapped in a lilting montage of smooth vocals and kick-ass music for the heart, mind and soul. Wicked stuff, and I say, if you’ve got it, flout it, baby, flout it!

Brilliantly penned, Thomas. Excellent write my friend. The seductive spider that calls you back again, to seek more of the elixir that feels like home, only to start the cycle over again. Your an incredible storyteller brother who knows how to paint a picture. Appreciate you.
