• Dust Before the Storm

    The warning didn’t come
    with sirens or lights.

    It came quietly,
    a shift in the air,
    a stillness settling
    like dust before a storm.

    The horses grew restless,
    pacing the fence line,
    ears toward something
    I could not yet see.

    Even the cows
    lifted their heads,
    watching the horizon
    as if it held
    an answer I…Read More

    • Interesting choice. the Serenity prayer and this time of human existence. Grant us the wisdom to know the difference. So may never know and some need to muster the courage to do what is right. The issue is what is right for one is not right for all..A thought. This is a good piece.

      • That is a very observant and true comment, “what is right for one is not right for all”. Where humankind goes wrong is when we unfortunately take the “I’m better than you” position of, “what is right for me is also right for you; whether you like it or not”.

    • Powerfully penned, Angel. Excellent write my friend. Really dig how you pull inspiration from songs. Nicely done per usual. Appreciate you.

    Queen Jackie

I wrote this poem with no AI interference at all, nope none of that. The only thing AI did was help me get my poem onto this picture. That’s it. Thank you
