“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” – Karl Paul Reinhold Niebuhr
serenity…
redefined and reimagined by distance
spatial perspective changes
the heavenly view of our existence
morning…
always brings a new beginning
opportunity awaits
acknowledging the sun rising
tranquility…
fills the heart under a full moon
Artemis II witnesses
the earth rise as if a melodious tune
singing…
be it of harmony or of dissonance
regardless, humanity sings
surely not of soûler indifference
courage…
enough to differentiate wisdom
from foolishness
might peace be with you

so beautiful lovely poet they say God sang over us while he created us… yes humanity sings…beautiful ❤️
Crimsin, thanks for your thoughtful comment. As I wrote this poem, I couldn’t help but to reflect on the two stories dominating the news. It is such a dichotomy of humanity, between sending mankind around the moon and at the same time processing the destructive nature of war. How do you reconcile such?
Interesting choice. the Serenity prayer and this time of human existence. Grant us the wisdom to know the difference. So may never know and some need to muster the courage to do what is right. The issue is what is right for one is not right for all..A thought. This is a good piece.
That is a very observant and true comment, “what is right for one is not right for all”. Where humankind goes wrong is when we unfortunately take the “I’m better than you” position of, “what is right for me is also right for you; whether you like it or not”.
Powerfully penned, Angel. Excellent write my friend. Really dig how you pull inspiration from songs. Nicely done per usual. Appreciate you.

Sometimes current events lend themselves well for introspection of how we fit into this crazy thing called life.
