    Food for Thought

while you're over there clutching your Bible in your fistwhy don't you consider this...I'm gonna quote a few verses for youbeing so christian...you might recognize them...maybe not... "Love thy neighbor as thine own self..."you should probably revisit that oneI know...

    • Mic Drop, Willow. Into the book it belongs! Excellent rant…spitting facts my friend. Dig the voice my friend. Appreciate you.

      Damian

      • I’ve penned more rants in the past few days than I’d prefer. I really wish they’d stop with the “inspiration” already. But, alas, I fear I’ll lose my voice before they sit the hell down and shut up. Thank you, my friend

    • Powerful writing, dear Willow! And a sad truth. The Christian hardliners are often exactly the same people who take Christian charity the least serious. Deeply human principles would be so easy to understand. “Love is the only rational act.” ( Mitch Alboum, Tuesdays with Morrie)

      • Hardliners tend to be the ones who prefer to translate to their benefit and bias only. They’re incapable of seeing anything else. Too many wars have occurred over religion. Not enough spirituality and compassion for one another. Thank you, Elke

    • There are very few folk who sound good when they post like this in my opinion .. You sound great .. and I dig the message you have woven so well through todays fine offering .. I hope whoever motivated you to put pen to paper has learned something as well as a lesson .. Now go well and write on .. Yeah’ no need to be gentle with a voice like that .. Neville

      • I’m struggling hard with the sound of my own voice. We’ll see if I stick with it. It makes me uncomfortable, for some reason. But some messages need one’s own signature on them, I think. Thank you for your support, Neville

    • The biggest hypocrites in existence are of the church, the most patriotic people have never served their country’s. The loudest ones screaming now supported their downfall. Tight piece Lady

    • First, of all your voice is perfect for this. Second, this is an eye-opener message. If only people would see.

      • They either see because it resonates, or they remain blind because it pinches guilty nerves. They prefer to live in denial and cause others grief. Thank you, Fia

    • You are such a strong woman, Brenda. Many don’t hesitate to lash out and slash those wronging them. But you know the power of words. 🧡

    • Powerfully penned, Brenda. Excellent write my friend. Words are weapons and writers know how to use them, showing restraint takes self discipline. Especially against those who provoke us. Nicely done. Appreciate you.

      Damian

    • I can absolutely relate to your poem, dear Crimsin. The strong wish not to hurt anybody makes sensitive people think that they have caused a conflict and are simply not lovable. Never forget that your loving heart and the power of your words are a most effective weapon and armor. Great work!

    • An eye for an eye brings no satisfaction, the loss still exist and nothing can replace it. Tight

    • The title got me. The way you wove the bible in this but end it with the drink being labeled ‘What Price Salvation?’ is a damn moment. Good read

    • This reminds me of the late 60s – early eighties writers. Yes, I’ve read that far back.LOL. My dad loved the old classics, while my sister came to poetry during the 70s. So I saw a great many styles and such.
Almost goes with LSD, this. Seriously! I don’t condone illegal drugs, ahem, yet in moderation many ideas have sprouted for many many writers.
You write on another level, my good man.

    • Brilliantly penned, Ghosteen. This is truly an amazing write my friend. Nicely done. Appreciate you.
