      Pain

Pain   Pain ran down my leg like it was speaking in tongues, crazed English gibberish that brought tears and chaos. The iron fisted chaos that always wanted more, and I was simply in the way.   I was caught in a downward spiral, down, down, down into a chasm of sharp...

      • I do hope you’re healing now! There’s nothing adequate to describe that level of pain but you sure did it justice.

      • Thank you for your comment and concern, Willow. I am healing, but it’s taking so damn long. It’s been over 3 months now and there is still a lot of pain in the leg and knee. I can hear them talking and laughing. Ice (the solid water type) has become a welcome friend.
        Thanks again Willow!!!

      • Yikes! This past year I had a severe sprained ankle. It felt like it was on fire! It swelled up like an elephant foot.
Went to the ER and did X-rays. Nothing broken thank god!
I can’t imagine how much pain that was when it is actually broken bones.
I’m sure you noticed by now I’m a huge baby when it comes to pain.

I can totally relate to the pain speaking in tongues!

        Very well put Curt.

      Love Sonnet LXX

Love Sonnet LXX   Yaraa, I see you, all of you as your faded jeans, peasant blouse, walk along this dusty path. It was during a full October Moon, with   multi-colored leaves blown everywhere, that your Autumn shadow kissed my lips with your glow. Then came December...

    • The Cylinder and the Hum

In the ancient dimness of the forgotten inn,a silver cylinder slept upon the table, cold as moonlight trapped in metal. The wooden beams whispered untold stories, and a lone mosquito, stubborn as fate, traced restless circles through the air. Curiosity, that flame that never...

    • Poem with a Melancholy Refrain

I stopped loving you one late afternoon that seemed suspended, with the wind passing by me like someone crossing an empty house. The sun setting on the horizon, a little too dazed, illuminated only what was beyond saving. And I realized, without wanting...
