Web Developer/Designer (5 years)
Theatrical Event Developer, Host & Performer, “Inkslingers’ & Mummers’ Revue,” Chicago House, Austin, TX (4 1/2 years)
Host/Performer, Poetry Slams at various Austin area venues; included the first “Texas Grand Championship Slam-Off” of 1993; (The 1990’s)
Actor – Austin, Dallas & Los Angeles ; numerous roles in various plays at theaters in Austin; wrote and performed in several Austin productions on stage and for cable TV; Shakespeare at the Dallas Repertory Theater (Hortensio in”The Taming of the Shrew”), a couple of films (small roles) ; one weird role in a long commercial-type photography thingy in LA , not meant for commercial release (I really shouldn’t even list it); several roles at the Waco Civic Theater when I was young. Directed a few shows here and there. A lot of theater & musical theater. (Over some decades)
Musician – Lead Singer & Front Man for “Glory Road” a touring band based in CA; included a killer gig as a stand-alone USO Show touring USAF bases in Greenland, Labrador and Newfoundland. Iceland was canceled because the weather turned bad and the plane had to turn around. Also performed with “Tops in Blue” in 1968 or 9 (can’t recall), a group of the USAF’s top talent to entertain our troops in Europe for a month or two while I was stationed in Germany. (Over a period of about 9+ performing years)
USAF – Sergeant (4 years, June 1966 – June 1970)
Also held various jobs in Sales over the years (Hey, we all have to eat, right? and the money was good, I’m very sorry)
Lots of construction jobs: painting, sheetrocking, house leveling & roofing. Fell through one roof and landed on the kitchen table just in time for morning coffee. Some road work, in the hottest part of summer in Waco, Texas: 12 hour days with few breaks; it took two baths afterward. Brutal work. Paid for my school clothes. (Early to mid ’60’s)
