“THE LITERARILY NONSENSICAL LIMERICK”
Most limericks are comedic, some are downright crude, and nearly all are trivial in nature. To me, what makes the Limerick so universally appealing is the combination of…Read More-

There once was a woman from Cork
Who ate black pudding with a fork
When the lads came around
The rumors were sound
She was better than the Duchess of York

Beautifully penned, PG. Excellent write with a very powerful message. Writing is therapy I agree with you completely. No matter how creative I get with a poem or lyrics there is always a therapeutic quality even as simple as getting something off my chest. Very relatable piece lets me know I’m not alone in the world. Appreciate you.

When the darkness surrounds you and you think of the unthinkable remember this.
You have to be alive to find peace.Death just brings death.
Now you take care and keep writing.🙏💋🙏

This is powerful and the images and words are delicately constructed. Always move forward PG, never look back. Well written.

Great piece. There’s also a hidden but great message in here. Yes, kick your kids out of the nest. So many people commit the acts that they do, endure the abuse that they do because they have no where’s to return to

I’m not sure, but those who make it to old age tend to come to a calm acceptance. It is the end of the journey, and perhaps for some the battle. Yet, those who do make it that far should see it as a blessing. So many do not get that far.
Life is half attitude, really. Find the good, even if small. It’s there. -
Powerfully penned, Peter. Excellent write my friend. I concur with Mark, getting older there is a calm acceptance that takes place. For me it was recognizing my mortality, and realizing if I didn’t change my perspective I was going to die miserable or suddenly. Or worse yet, both. I can relate my friend but there is a blessing in figuring out that changing the lens helps a lot. We all go through this you’re definitely not alone. Appreciate you.
