It does feel confessional in the way that poets dream about life & love, with a tenderness and unabashed desire both calm & brave. It is what the artform exists for.

I’m a romantic who believes the words of Cervantes
Too much sanity may be madness — and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!” ― Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, Don Quixote

This poem feels like a quiet stream of thought turning into a river of longing. I love how it moves between vulnerability and hope–questions of love, time, and becoming a better self flow together with such tender honesty.

Joe, amigo what a write!
It felt like wearing an old comfy shirt. I love that line. It’s so true. Personally when it comes to relationships I think comfortable is underrated. Yes, we want to be desired and have great chemistry, but comfort is real.
It also means you feel safe. So important for love
Beautifully written

“Lawfare is the prelude to warfare” It captures how division can eat away at freedom from within. A timely and sobering reflection on what it means to truly live free.

I find this piece mentally challenging in a good way.
Very thoughtful and reflective on the American society
Brutal honesty at its best. x

hello dearest Joe this is so beautiful how you envision this lady my face is open and my laughter sweet…I can’t lie it shows on my face so I try to be honest as I can but that can unsettle too…you’re very romantic to be seen as such is so passionate 💕

You took us there, I swear. It was like watching a scene breathe before you. Emotion-filled atmosphere & the sound of the surf. Incredibly beautiful

What a great read for me this evening. Very beautifully done, lulling in a good way. Like a sailboat easing along the waves.
So well done. I love it! -
This is quite breathtaking and intriguing.
I admire the delicate flow of this poem, it really does take me on a journey.
A much needed break from reality.
A vibrant and comforting read. x

I am old school. Grew into a love of poetry because of my interaction with the Beat poets. Sexton, Plath, Ginsberg, Ferlinghetti, O’Hara and others.
This is confessional style poetry like Sexton, Plath, Levertov and others.
I really felt this one.
