    • Every living thing is just trying to get through the day.
We need to eat each other to survive but we don’t have to make each other suffer.
Great write indeed and it aligns with my number one life precept
” Cause no harm to any sentient creature”

      • 👍🏻
        Good Evening Peter ❤️
I wholeheartedly agree, all animals must eat to survive. It is just the way that humans behave is sickening.

      • Hello Thomas, nice to meet you. I was just feeling some kind of way. I love animals and it’s so unfair the way humans just disregard them.
        Thank you for looking
        Jackie 🙂

    • I love this. It reminds me of a song.

“Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon?
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?”

      • I think I have and I feel you. Just mimicking what I said to Thomas above here. I love all animals even bugs and I just hate the way human beings. Just disregard them and treat them like they’re nothing.
Nice to meet you Alexandria ❤️
        Jackie 🙂

    • All life is special and precious. Some have forgotten this simple truth. Excellent piece, my friend!

      • Hello Detritus 🙂
Yes humans are brutal any many are still uncivilized.
        Thanks for visiting
        Jackie 🙂

    • Peace and tranquility forever. Lovely poem. Excellent!!

      • Yeah, I mean, I just when I see how they house the animals that feed America and other countries too. It truly breaks my heart. It breaks my heart to know that cows have never get to walk on God‘s green earth and instead, are subject to a mud floor and confinement, it despicable.
        Thanks for looking
        Jackie ❤️☺️

    • Love you Adria
      Jackie ❤️

    • I love this.
The way animals raised for meat are treated is not only cruel but unhealthy for humans on so many levels.
I stopped eating meat some years ago, and will take a spider or a mouse outside to release.
But the fire ant, the roach, and the carpenter bee I cannot abide.

      • Hi Javalini 🙂
Yeah, I’m practically vegan already. I do like an occasional piece of meat, but it really is starting to mess with my psyche. Did you know when they say on the package grass fed, that doesn’t mean they’re out on the prairie somewhere enjoying their best life, it means big tractors come and they damn near drown and bury the cows alive with grass. I’ve seen videos it’s horrifying and they’re still in their pen locked up.
        Thanks for looking and commenting

    Leave On Sunday Morning

Lyric writing sessions used to be key when it came to songwriting. The purpose for us was to always have stockpiled lyrics on hand when we’d enter a jam session/band practice. We’d have words to pull from to attempt...

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Mary. So glad you like these stories my friend. It’s therapeutic for me, helps me understand where the wheels fell off at certain points in time. My first portrayals of Joey G, were always in a negative light. Guess I was still mad, still am sometimes. But as I dug deeper I realized I couldn’t tell an accurate story without showing some good times every now and then. Little glimpses where we got it right, even if only for a bit. Appreciate you.

    • Your stories are always intriguing and in depth. Nice description here about your past.

    • Powerfully penned, Keith. What Mary said, sometimes making things right is comforting. Especially on a deathbed. For some reason when I read this I could hear, Robert Stack, narrating it. Like an Unsolved Mysteries episode. Great write my friend. Appreciate you.

      Damian

    • I have Robert Stack on my GPS giving me directions. It reminds me of “Airplane”. I’m kidding.

You have just blown my mind with this piece, and there’s nothing insane about it. For once, it’s a vision of sanity, and I think everyone is on board with the beauty of forgiveness. It’s odd how death and finality have a way of changing our perspectives so abruptly. Setting things right can be so important. How fortunate were these two for having a middleman that kept them in touch.

Keith is it? I’m Meg. Thanks for that story!

      • Airplane rules!! Every now & then I’ll write something tender. I don’t want all of you to think i’m some raging lunatic. I just write whatever comes to mind.
Absolutely right. Let’s not wait until someone is dying to make amends. Be kind and humble to one another.
        Thanks Meg.xo

    • Hello Adira. Glad you enjoyed this piece. Thank you for the gracious comments.

    • This was touching. Made me think of my last visit to my mother who was on hospice with breast cancer. She was barely able to open her eyes to see me, then she was able to make a smile, the last smile I ever saw from her. Cancer took her but couldn’t kill her sweet soul. Bravo 👏

      • Hi Daniel. Thanks for sharing your story. Sorry to hear about your mom. Life is fragile. Make the best with your loved ones before we all depart. Thanks for the comments.

    • Death brings either the sweetest or the meanest in human beings. In this case, it was love. A heartbreaking and heartwarming write. Both at the same time. Well done, buddy!
