sleep…
we parted company…for the most part
a while ago
snatches of nap here and there
but a full night’s sleep?
…very rare
disrupted by dreams and thoughts
as I stare at the ceiling
and tossmaybe it’s only my imagination
(but I somehow doubt it)
the world feels…
heavier?
more dense?

I remember seeing gulls in a Costco parking lot in Denver once and being surprised. A long way from the ocean, they were. I wonder if they ever missed the silence of the sea. Great haiku…I can’t seem to get the hand of writing them myself

Read MoreJune.... 1997 I was about twenty-two years old when this occured. I met a guy in the late 90's a guy that resembled like Ted Bundy. He was strange a young guy white and reddish orange short hair. Kinda yellowish teeth....

You’re very lucky. Some people are screwed up in the head and become dangerous. Situational awareness and a good pair of legs to run are always good options.

Yes thank you .. I mean that creep could’ve grabbed me fast. But I think he didn’t as it was day and in front of the dairy Queen. Idk but I do feel Angels were with me. I don’t go out much like I used to and I don’t trust many out there. But I do go out maybe to the library to a restaurant, things like that. But like how I did , no and I hardly do because I have my princess I love watching and spending time with. I don’t like going out and she stays home without me. She with my parents and nephew but in general without me, doesn’t feel right. So I don’t , maybe I’ll go on a date if there’s one but after the date is over I go home. And I’m so cautious of my surroundings too. I keep keen observation on dates too. So I watch them from far to make sure they do leave without trying to follow me. I’ve seen too much to not play it smart.
And yes a pair of strong legs are good for strong running. At that time I was very young and I could’ve run fast lol. I’m older and I can only run as fast as I can. But my supervision is very strong.

I think your poem speaks to something very true Willow. There is a definite compression in the air in these times (and for many for a very long time before this). But especially today, there is the feel of the walls pressing in, everything is hunkering down trying to find a safe place to live in. This is no way for human beings to live. -Curt
