    You!

Let it burn Let the entire world obliterate With every course, crass and fallacy You have thrown at me I will rejoice in the destruction That is, you. On the wings of innocent white doves You are the soot that stains the feather No matter what is...

    Pandora's Latch

She was made beautiful, superficially flawless, impenetrable perhaps.Heaven sent, yet I knewall lofty things crashfrom the weight of conscience. The gods gave her a jarpristine, ornate even thoughof human influences. She kept it close, intimately hers-Had vowed not to open itif she hoped...

    • This form of poetry is so entrancing. “That some boundaries are crossed by desire.” Feel that.

      • Thanks Fia. I read up on the story a couple of times, and was contemplating adding more gods names dropped in it. But nah, I decided to keep it mostly intimate between the two. The idea was to keep it symbolic, erotic, but not to cross the obvious language of the obvious. lol.

    • There is so much power in this write!
Each line conjures such intense emotional pull. Like magnets colliding!
You’r waiting for an explosion 💥 that feels exquisite. You had me at the edge of my seat reading this. Hahah.
Phew, this was intense and filled with curiosity.
Loved everything about this and you!

      • not to mention the connection with the name “Pandora”… I was going to take and use a picture of one of the small jewelry boxes here on the(your) dresser. But the one I used works too I guess.
You know how long I messed with this write. I still see a little bit of edits… But I’m resting it. LOL
Hey, it’s no secret where such inspiration comes from, for me to get ideas like this! What!

        Pew pew!

    • The splendor of your poem filled me as I read with a rapturous yet softly and darkly wonder. I could see Pandora with her jar and the first tentative attraction unfolding until that jar of opened and the tempests come. But after the storm there is a truth in her being that is irresistible and compelling in the utmost. I could feel this in my heart and it was a truly splendorous read.

      • Much appreciated, John. That’s quite a comment! I was really torn over whether to write of the result of the opening moreso. But decided to end it the way it is. Mostly because the write became a bit too lengthy, so I felt the need to cut it like I did.
Your comment is awesome, thank you!

    • Thank you very much, Bat. This one took quite a bit of work!
      How’s Gotham? 😉

    • Well what a hell of a comment, Brenda. Thanks for that. I’m trying to find subjects a bit unordinary. This one was a leap!

    • I am doing well, Damian. A recent trip to Texas (to see Del) was awesome.
Thank you for the supportive comment, too. This one took quite a bit of work, and hacking up the lines, for days. I’m trying to be interesting for the reader/s, so any encouraging words go a long way. Thank you.

    • Absolutely tremendous. Powerful work.

      • Thank you much, Thomas. I did some homework and then several hacks at it before I considered it worth posting. I guess I’m trying to step out of my comfort writes and take on things that are interesting enough to push myself with.

    • There’s a feeling in the way you spread this that almost quivers with anticipation and eagerness. Masterfully written! Pandora is a source of much intrigue and this is an incredible twist on the story. Those last few lines were the perfect punctuation. I’m a bit in awe here

      • Hey Willow! Wow thanks for the boost!
I went back and forth on how to end this one. Do I take it more critical of the results? Or, let it play out without graphic detail, since we all know the story. And I wanted it kept at the human level, but not too obviously the physical aspect needing to be spelled out. Let the reader build their own imagery, right?
I really appreciate your enthusiastic reply. It’s good to know when our efforts pay off, so thank you.

I appreciate all the work you do for Stars and Hypo my friend. I know you sometimes have to sacrifice your writing output because of how busy the site and magazine keep you. Thanks for keeping us well informed and all the hard work you put in around here. It doesn’t go unnoticed my friend. Appreciate you, cuz.
