Powerfully penned, Daniel. You were a great writer then as well my friend. Twenty years ago huh? My high school days seem like a million summers ago. Appreciate you.

My mother was the opposite of this. Now though, she’s a different person. You have an exquisite way of expressing yourself, Daniel

Introspective write, Daniel. Very powerful spill my friend. Appreciate you.

I admire the ease with which you express your inner world. Stoic, melancholy, honest and beautiful write. You are there in every word, thank you for the share!

Okay, that is gut-wrenching. To lay there and live a slow death that you did not sign up for. Not right at all.
This is executed well

Thanks for the thoughtful comment Fia.

It’s not right and it’s not wrong , it’s just the way it is.Like everything in life, even suffering is impermanent.

🙏

Quite moving..thank you for sharing

I’ve often felt that pain is preferable to apathy. That quiet passing out of space. This haunts & hurts. So often the case, & always hard

First the Technical: Excellent consistency with meter, beautifully executed rhyme.
Composition: Incredible depth. As Willow noted, the piece reflects a falling away, a loss of touch and intimacy with no explanation. It’s a death of sorts, and you’ve painted it perfectly. Really well done.

Great write Fia.

I think we’d agree we aren’t our bodies.
Somewhere in the spaces between our cells , our atoms, is our consciousness…but that’s not us either.
We cling to our notion of self but really are non self.Nothing.

Phenomenally penned, Fia. This was a powerful write my friend, I think our soul is our mind. It makes sense to me anyways. Appreciate you.

Thank you, Keith 😊
