• CONQUERING THESE STORMS

    “Everyone wants to go to heaven
    but no one wants to die.”
    **Peter Tosh

    Today is so Spring-like,
    the air, smooth with freshness,
    the grass seems greener
    stretching to reach your touch.
    And the sky, so azure
    it tastes like mountain running water.
    Today it is difficult to realize
    winter’s hold…Read More

    Being a city boy
    with Native roots,
    I have always loved the feel
    of cool, dew-laden grass
    licking my toes;
    the scent of pine needles
    on the forest floor;
    the way a blue butterfly
    will sometimes land
    on your outstretched hand.
    As I wrap all these thoughts

    • Very good…. I love this part the way a blue butterfly
      will sometimes land
      on your outstretched hand.

    • The image of the empty tomb isn’t stark or hollow to me; it feels full, like something unseen has taken its place and filled the space with meaning. What lingers is a soft, grounded certainty that life moves forward, and that forward motion carries a quiet kind of joy. Thank you for this read. Brilliantly written, Richard.

      • Kay, you are certainly welcome. 🙏

        Thank you for looking-in and commenting so graciously … your mindful response and praise both gatify and encourage an olde bard’s humble efforts.
