City Peace
The wind howls through my window
The fire truck siren blares down the street
The neighbor’s heated argument is in stereo sound
The dogs whine in a pitch that rivals nails on chalk boards
Yet I cannot sleep without the city’s peace.

It took me a few weeks o be able to get to sleep after I moved from NYC back to PA and a more rural setting. -Curt
