spent some time up on the coast
in the land of always been
up where the elk run among the cedars
the memory of your love in me
lake filled with pike
line full of hope
whispers through the trees burden of the pain
sweat upon the brow
empty is my lure
this water quenching thirst
ripples through my toes
as i stand along the shore
whatever i thought whatever i was
i am no more

This is such a poignant piece. So strong that I can smell the cedars and hear the water
Thank you Willow. My son lives up in copper country
