    • You’re very lucky. Some people are screwed up in the head and become dangerous. Situational awareness and a good pair of legs to run are always good options.

    • Yes thank you .. I mean that creep could’ve grabbed me fast. But I think he didn’t as it was day and in front of the dairy Queen. Idk but I do feel Angels were with me. I don’t go out much like I used to and I don’t trust many out there. But I do go out maybe to the library to a restaurant, things like that. But like how I did , no and I hardly do because I have my princess I love watching and spending time with. I don’t like going out and she stays home without me. She with my parents and nephew but in general without me, doesn’t feel right. So I don’t , maybe I’ll go on a date if there’s one but after the date is over I go home. And I’m so cautious of my surroundings too. I keep keen observation on dates too. So I watch them from far to make sure they do leave without trying to follow me. I’ve seen too much to not play it smart.
And yes a pair of strong legs are good for strong running. At that time I was very young and I could’ve run fast lol. I’m older and I can only run as fast as I can. But my supervision is very strong.

    Seasons

Winds of fall Take me for a ride And drop me where you may   You know my all And where I hide And every word I say   So let me drift  Without a care  Into winter's arms   When spring comes I'll shift With a loner's despair Into summer's harm

    • I like how the changing of seasons and self are merged in this. Humanity has a deep bond with nature, but many have lost sight of it

    These Walls

    • hello dearest Brandon reads like a beautiful prayer ❤️

      • Maybe it was actually. I wrote it 2 weeks ago and was really having a rough week that exhausted me. I just decided to write something to help me deal. Sometimes this writing is like therapy.

    • Beautifully penned, Brandon. An excellent write my friend. I concur with Brenda, it does read like a prayer. Writing is definitely therapy. Appreciate you.

    • Aww, this is nice. It feels good to read.
      Thanks for posting.

    • I think there’s a natural tendency in human beings to build walls for protection. But they’re a lot harder to take down. There is strength in this plea, recognizing the need and danger of walls

    CONQUERING THESE STORMS

“Everyone wants to go to heaven
but no one wants to die.”
    **Peter Tosh

    Today is so Spring-like,
    the air, smooth with freshness,
    the grass seems greener
    stretching to reach your touch.
    And the sky, so azure
it tastes like mountain running water.
Today it is difficult to realize
    winter’s hold…Read More

    Watch Your Mouth

    we weren’t allowed to curse
so she never did it herself
    always setting the good example
    whenever we repeated words heard…
that we were forbidden to utter…
    she’d softly remonstrate…
    “now now now…watch your mouth”
    but I learned very early
    she had an exception
    if pushed to full annoyance
    (a rare event – she…Read More

    • In our house it was the threat of having our mouths washed with soap if we cursed. And it only took one mouth washing to guarantee obedience to this rule. Very cool poem for day 7 of poetry month Willow -Curt

      • I never had my mouth washed with soap but my sister did once. I was always too afraid of getting in trouble to put a toe across any lines. Thank you, Curt

    • My cousin told me to say a word in front of my mother, and I didn’t know what it meant and I got slapped. Never said that again. haha at least not to her.

      • My mother swore all the time – redheaded temper. But she yelled at us if we did. Grandma taught by quiet example. I’m a veritable sailor mouth now, but then? Nope! 😂
