I have often though of Kentucky as a pastorale return to real people living in the beauty of nature. Your poem really made the state sound very inviting indeed. Well thought out and penned.

Lexington is called the horse capital of the world. I’m not particularly horse crazy, but I do like seeing them in open fields.

Thank you, Honoria. I’m still not through contemplating where to live. It’s like trying to choose which slot machine in a casino might be the lucky one and trying to ignore the fact that the house always wins.

I’m gonna tell you, a hard horse is good to find. Did I say that right? I don’t know jack shit about the derby or Kentucky. Was Davy Crocket from there? Maybe that was just his rifle. I think he was Tennessee.
