Full moon adorns the midnight velvet
Memories of summer warm the heart
In the silence of nocturnal foggy cold
In the distance howls a lonely wolf

Selene traverses the canopy of heaven
Heading determinedly towards the cave
Where the handsome shepherd slumbers
Cast into eternal sleep by her spell

Her heart burns with love and longing
Yet shadows of doubt burden her soul
Was she as vain as Narcissus once was?
Above her hangs Damocles’ sword of guilt

Will Endymion grant the goddess forgiveness?
Tenderly, she caresses the sleeper
Tonight she would kiss the betrothed awake
Only in freedom true love blooms!

    1. Chère E.,
What A dream-like story you wrote!
It’s beauty shines from the ‘page’…

I don’t want to put you to work again, but please understand that I would welcome your next. Knowing that it will be as beautiful as everything you’ve written so far.
      Warm greetings, Gus
