elizaParticipantI have been looking into the issues related to Zopisign 7.5 mg, as it was mentioned in some topics related to insomnia and short-term sleep issues. As I understand it, Zopisign is an over-the-counter prescription sleeping drug containing zopiclone. It is normally prescribed for short-term insomnia treatment.
However, I am also wondering why it should be prescribed for short-term treatment only. According to the information I have found, zopiclone might cause tolerance and dependence due to its prolonged use, and, therefore, doctors usually try to limit the duration of therapy with the help of such a drug.
There might also be some side effects like bitter taste, dryness of mouth, dizziness, sleepiness, and reduced alertness the next day after consumption. Alcohol and other drugs inducing drowsiness increase these risks.
Therefore, I believe it would be up to the person and the reasons causing sleep issues whether Zopisign 7.5mg is appropriate. However, it would be much better to consult a doctor in order to find out the reasons for insomnia and appropriate treatment.
