LOCATION: UTOPIAN MINISTRY AUDITORIUM, HAHAO CITY
SPEAKERS: UTOPIAN PRIESTESS ADAMINN, VOO AMBASSADOR GROUK OOHA
Annual Voo-Human Peace conference
ADAM: Today marks a thousand years since our ancestors landed on we used to call Hahao. We were arrogant and have taken to calling by its original name MaVoo. The Voo were the first to call it home and after a rocky start, I am proud to embrace them as our brothers and sisters. We are glad to share their world. I would like to introduce the Voo ambassador Grouk Ooha. Bananas Bananas Bananas
GROUK: Thank you Adaminn. I have travelled many, what you Earthies, call miles to get here. My Ruki was glad when I got to the shade the city. She has been treated well. I want to thank the Utopian Ministry for their ongoing work to keep the peace between Voo and Humans. It’s been generations since the last war. I hope that we never resume our tension, and that peace carries on forever. Teevis sends her sons to be educated by the Utopian Ministry before they take charge of the silver lakes. And we accept your delegation into our huts to learn our ways. May the peace last. Bananas Bananas Bananas
ADAM: May the peace last.
Adaminn’s Office Surveillance Transcript
ADAM: Sit down Grouk. I’ll have some Shine Salad sent up.
GROUK: That won’t be necessary. I have eaten. You know why I have come.
ADAM: The mines?
GROUK: The mines have poisoned one of our sacred ponds. The Voo see this as an act of war. I have been able to stall them but they are about to break.
ADAM: I’ve sent a clean up team.
GROUK: No human is permitted to touch the water. You know that. The mine owners responsible for the pollutant spill must be killed in the way the Voo see fit.
ADAM: Is there no other way?
GROUK: I am old enough to know how the humans waged war. I knew your Great Grandfather when he was a child. He was one of the first humans to be sent to our lake huts. I am not old enough to remember how the wars began. But we Voo pass down our memories through shared dreams. There are vivid visions from a thousand years ago that have been gifted to me. They show how your ancestor Adams lived with the Voo. If the other humans had been like him we wouldn’t have needed these peace summits. Sub-Captain Pines…that’s a name all the Voo know. His crimes will never be forgotten. Bananas Bananas Bananas
ADAM: We have apologised for Pines. We cannot undo what Pines and his troopers did. We study our records. We won’t make the same mistakes.
GROUK: I don’t know if war can be avoided this time. They are brewing upon old dreams of Pines, more vivid than any of your Hahao records. The mining company executive will pay for the desecration or you will have war.
ADAM: Is that a threat? Bananas Bananas Bananas
GROUK: If I could give my life to stop the war I would, Teevis wants human blood.
