Wrapped in a blanket of dreams
Hung by a rope of nightmares
Black scaled snaking nightmares
Drifting down streams of memory
Drowning in the pain of the truth
Bathing in the rays of the past
The copper rays of the past
The flax blue waves of dusk
The ink spill twilight haemorrhage
Before the stars
Before the moon
Before the dead hide
In the shadows of the house
To tie the noose around
The neck of our dreams
The noose
Only morning can untie

hello dearest James I am often haunted in dreams this is perfect and so right on it makes me wonder where I’m headed ❤️
Hi,
Thanks for reading such a dark piece.
I take strength knowing there are poets like yourself, and many others round the world that feel things similar to myself.
There is always morning after the dark
Regards
James
