In this lonely place
I count the tears
My pride just dries away
Out my window rests
A million games
I’m just too scared to play
Do I wake up
Just to close my eyes
And serenade the night
Sing strong, sing loud
To this empty space
Where silent stars unite
I seem to take
More than I can earn
Of what I cannot say
As the years go by
I take on the debt
No one could ever pay
Do I fall down
Just to get back up
And learn to win the fight
Swing strong, swing proud
To this empty ring
Where silent stars unite

Life is scary, and fear can be found in anything, even the stars we sing to at night. The guilt we are in debt too can be all consuming, leaving behind a kind of cosmic loneliness. So, when do we knock ourselves out in the ring, and where do we wake up to?
Powerfully penned, Brandon. Excellent write with lots of layers my friend. Nicely done. Appreciate you.
