I stare into the glass

and do not recognize

the one who looks back.

She is familiar and strange,

fragile and unyielding,

a map of scars

and unspoken truths.

I trace the lines of her face,

wondering where she ends

and I begin.

The reflection trembles

under my gaze,

and I remember:

identity is never whole,

but always enough.
