The Sun Stays Still
The sun rises in the east, they say—
yet we are the ones who move away,
circling worlds, chasing time,
while the sun stays where it is.
People speak with loud threats,
claiming power over all things—
but do they know
their very roots stand wrong?
And God sits quiet in the storm,
not absent, not blind—
just watching the weight of the world,
standing beside the innocent,
knowing the guilty hide in their own deceit.
So the sun remains, unchanged—
while we keep traveling,
losing pieces of ourselves along the way.
Tell me, does it make sense—
this loss we carry?
Love, though—
love never takes life away.
It breathes hope into broken paths,
it lifts, it heals, it stays.
If it destroys instead of saving,
if it darkens instead of lighting—
then it was never love at all.
