“AI won’t replace humans, but humans who use AI will replace those who don’t.” – Sam Altman
Nature…
the original master of illusion
is a blue jay really blue?
Mother Nature’s creative confusion
Deception…
she has crafted over eons
survival depends
on evolution’s brilliant cons
Artificial…
the digital master of illusion
bits unto bytes
man made creative confusion
Intelligence…
forged with the zeros and ones
of Boolean algebra
mathematical fabrication becomes
mechanized…
to construct an alternative view
absconding reality
so I ask is a blue jay really blue?

Powerfully penned, Angel. Another excellent write my friend. AI is creepy in its potential to cause chaos. Nicely done as always. Appreciate you.
Damian
Damian, you are spot on. A perfect example of creepy is Val Kilmer posthumously starring in a movie via AI generation that is supposed to be released sometime later this year. AI seems to be evolving on an exponential scale and rate. Appreciate your comments.
Very thought provoking. I am reminded of Chuang Tzu. And I think, no, a blue jay is not really blue. A bird is not really a bird, that is merely what we call it, as nature has wisely hidden its true name from us. Excellent read!
Detritus, thanks for your generous comment. Strange enough, blue jays are actually brown. Their blue appearance is an optical illusion. I understand the scientific concept/explanation of why they are brown. So with curiosity I question, is there a parallel comparison between nature and AI? Nature has perfected the art of deception and illusion within a well balanced harmony (yin-yang). Mankind has disrupted that well balanced harmony. When I see what AI has become in such a near infinitesimal amount of time relative to nature, will it find harmony?
