fear will fence you in
it's hard to know what is fear and what is caution
encourage the doubt and be trapped
not doing anything at all
death will collect its due no matter what
with reverence I look to the spirit to guide me
to tell me what is foolhardy and what is brave
to lead me down the path I am to go
adventure is one thing and danger another
feeling a situation out is the best scenario
also I pray for protection from unseen events
things that can sneak up on you, no matter how careful you are
it is a tightwire we walk all of us
my thoughts are like this
God drop him or her dead where they stand
before they think of harming me
instead I ask for mercy because though I don't see it
God always provides a harsh retribution
because only he see the heart of another
so I don't judge and if I worry, I pray
take me home in your time Father

Powerfully penned, Brenda. Excellent write my friend. It’s not our place to judge, I agree. Nicely done as always. Appreciate you.
Damian
hello dearest Damian that my first thought is get them but then I look back realizing how life took care of my enemies and I felt bad for them… only God knows the heart you’re right thank you ❤️
I can see the self-reflection and the search for spiritual protection in this. Choosing faith over fear can be challenging in certain situations. But what else is there? Fear will control those that give in to it. Knowing this, we can work on God’s love and mercy to always be there.
