swindled emotion trading love for sorrow
except I hold my sadness close
all to become melancholy
collecting blue memories from my inner tapestry
she weaves the most beautiful of designs for me to explore
really delve into my feeling and get to know myself
she gives me a view so I can empathize with others
identity in the sacred silence
where I stand bare and vulnerable
with the ability to really know another
it is an art to turn pain into something lovely
graceful hurt, to be helpful down the road
a plea of desire, a bright spot woven in the blue
a deep red to highlight my love
passion’s need to be understood
is then returned to me in anothers smile
with a surprising connection not expected
but welcome none the less

Beautifully penned, Brenda. A truly amazing write my friend. Appreciate you.
