devour

Summary:
fallen angels, metaphor
the crows don't pick
the vultures won't circle
carrion is left on the ground to wither

the dead march in and out hell
the abyss to claim them later
void of conscience
they seek what they can’t have…a soul

in the deserts they scream
weighted with the heavy dark
they struggle for vision

hunted rebellion, they did this to themselves
a dept carried, so deep as to cause madness
nothing can alleviate

scorned exiles, searching for purchase
perhaps you are willing,
to be evicted from form and your life
little matter are your feelings

demented ideaology, they consider themselves better than human
who they feel deserved no flesh to inhabit
squandered favor, they fell from the heavens
to reap the earth’s bounty, beautiful women

God may yet forget after a millenum of regret
that kind of burden, is not easily taken
so on they walk searching whom they may devour
