Insomnia – with Light💕

HomePoetryInsomnia - with Light💕
Summary:
A collaboration

No tongue singing elegies tonight,
in twilight’s slow autopsy, ghosting.
Splitting the seams of vowels,
consonants clotted with ink.

Knocking at my mind’s rotting hinges,
no morphine left to numb the throng.
Insomnia peeling at the window frame,
sweet scent of anesthesia.

Pollen of ashes failing from my cigarette,
blue mold blooms on my begonias.
Between the axe and the gong,
the door’s lungs, knocking at my door.

Putting a plum in my darkest noir,
from the fedora resting on my head.
The windsock is blowing, no regrets,
a ghost in the storm’s throat.

With no fear, I unveil the unbeaten;
inspiration might not be bright,
but in-between cracks, vowels find the voice
and over mold consonants, write volumes.

    1. Though I wouldn’t call it a real collaboration since I only wrote the last verse but it was my pleasure, Thank You for asking me, and thank You for challenging me to write differently than my style. Be always inspired my friend, I like the picture by the way 😊

      • The maybe we should try a serious collaboration with dark/light blending.

        “With no fear, I unveil the unbeaten;
        inspiration not always bright,
        but in-between cracks, vowels find the voice
        and over mold consonants write volumes.”

        I think it’s better this way.
