Strong minds are required when it comes to the “negative visualization” method for Stoics. It sounds negative or even harmful to the majority, but some of us turn it into a tool for survival. It can actually be a net positive. It’s healthy to picture the worst-case scenarios early, as long as it doesn’t become obsessive. Results are usually somewhere in the middle.
