Winter is coming, the kids are hungry.
not from fate,
not from the tilt of the earth,
but from men in warm rooms
counting coin by firelight.
They let the shelves go bare,
they let the prices climb,
they feed their pockets fat
while children chew on time.
The snow falls heavier
because it was ordered to.
The wind cuts deeper
because profit sharpens the blade.
Winter is coming, the kids are hungry.
Its not a season
its a sentence.

I mean…damn…this one hits hard. It’s not a concept piece, that’s the saddest part. I’m seeing it happen. We all are. A sentence, for sure
We are indeed seeing it, thank you for the read Willow…
Fred that is sadly very very good.
One day the captains of industry will listen but not before they’ve destroyed everything.

Geez, this is current. Those in power are leaving the poor in the dust…and then shoveling more dirt upon them to cover up the problem with the gap between the rich who have and the have not’s who don’t.
Heavy stuff with a strong, strong message…certain folks in power need to read this.
