They say that the past is what molds us into the person that we are today.
But honestly, I don’t know how that’s true
The past is what broke me and what has turned me into
A shell of a woman,
Who will always fear that she isn’t enough.
Who hates decision-making,
Because what if it isn’t the right one?
It wasn’t all bad
I’ll admit it was fun,
Yeah, it was a blast..
But what does it all really even mean?
When you’re still running from your past?
How long until you can find peace, at last?
When do the demons stop taunting you?
When will life stop moving so fast?
When can I be hopeful for the future?
Instead of dreading for it to begin?
When can I appreciate the moments,
That I currently live in?
I know that a lot of these questions will go unanswered
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see
So until then,
My advice to you is to just live
Because what is meant to be…. Will be.
And that’s just because, it is what it is.
