I want to begin by thanking each of you for being part of Stars Rite. You are truly talented writers and poets, and your presence here is what gives this space life. My goal has always been to make Stars Rite a place you can call home a space where you feel comfortable sharing your words freely and confidently.
Lately, I’ve sensed that some of you may be unsure about the direction I’m taking or the reasons behind certain decisions. I also feel that my character has, at times, been questioned. I want to address that directly.
If I say I am going to do something, I follow through. I build it, test it, and give it time to determine whether it’s viable before deciding to keep it or remove it. If I say something will be taken down, I take it down. If I say something will be created, it will be created. Integrity matters deeply to me. I am not a liar, nor do I aspire to be one.
Right now, much of my work is happening behind the scenes. I am dedicating the majority of my time to improving the site and strengthening its foundation. That does mean I am not able to write or post as frequently as I once did. However, when you see me engaging, it will be through thoughtful comments and support of your work.
Regarding the groups, I will continue to do my best to maintain them. I’ve also created the Spoken Word group and plan to contribute at least one spoken word piece myself, as I believe it is a powerful and valuable addition to our platform.
What I cannot continue to tolerate is being called names while I am genuinely doing my best to build and improve something for all of us. Constructive feedback is always welcome. Disrespect is not.
Stars Rite is built on creativity, respect, and community. I remain committed to that vision, and to you.
