Watching the way the shadow falls, a silhouette
wearing two shoes of thought and intimacy
sliding down life’s hypotenuse held in the throat’s
geometry, articulating one’s greatest sins,
a straw of contradictions in the cold reality
of an empty bed, checking for a pulse,
before the dead weds an unhappy grave

Powerfully penned, Adagio. Excellent write my friend. Appreciate you.

Thank you, Damian.
I like this. At a tangent, title reminds me of my fave minimalist poem (attributed to Hemingway). “For sale: baby shoes. Never worn.”
Thank you.
So much accomplished in so few lines. Like Rob said, minimalism is great for those who are precise with their thought. You are here.
Well done.
Thank you, Styxian.
