Edge of My Jaw

HomeShort StoriesEdge of My Jaw

Darkness comes taking what I no longer need
becoming silent. I am a shadow of the forgotten
fading into verses. Dripping my vanity with
a quiet surrender of my soul. Losing the edge
of my jaw. No longer reflecting…melting,
into indigo a whisper yawning. Echoing
my name, dissolving in the breath
of winter’s song snowing, on a pillow,
from the quill’s well.
