Bodies on sale in a camera glare,
men grow quiet
ejaculate and swear.
When lust is counted,
not felt true,
love retreats,
and hearts undo.
Brenda: “I don’t think the problem is sex itself. It’s what Bonnie Blue’s story becomes, a spectacle. It’s not about connection or pleasure; it’s a production line. No one’s really there except for the crowd watching.”
Damian: “Exactly. Calling that empowerment feels like a lie. If you’re treated like a receptacle, it’s not freedom, it’s objectification.”
Peter: “And think about what this means for kids, for teenagers. They see a woman having sex with a thousand men in a day and think that’s what being empowered means. Girls learn that their worth is in enduring, not enjoying or choosing. Boys learn that masculinity means conquest, not respect or safety.”
Willow: “Right. Now imagine if a man had sex with 1000 women in a day. The media would savage him. He’d be scorned and shamed. The double standard is obvious. Yet both are pushed into the same dehumanizing spotlight.”
Elke: “What really worries me is the effect on intimacy. If young people see sex as performance or a contest, how do they learn to build real connection? They lose sight of what it means to choose someone in trust and care, not for applause.”
Paula: “Adolescent girls face pressure to be ‘tough’ and ‘available’ but then are shamed when they show vulnerability. Boys are told to prove their worth through numbers, ignoring kindness or emotional safety.”
Mary: “In the end, both suffer. The scoreboard mentality leaves no room for love, only for loneliness and judgment.”
Brenda has the final word
“The culture egged her on and will turn on her later. She’s ‘brave’ today and ‘disgusting’ tomorrow. And the men,‘legends’ in the locker room and ‘creeps’ in the comments. Nobody stays a human being in that story for long.”

Powerfully penned, Peter. Cool idea, thanks for the honorable mention my friend. A group of writers with critical thinking skills having a rational conversation. Nicely done. Appreciate you.
Damian
I wasn’t sure if I were taking liberties by using yours and others names.
In the end I think they mostly would agree with my views on the Bonnie Blue thing.
🤘
This is a good conversation to have. The double standard and how society views it. Like the use of the writers on here. I think you capture their voice well.
Brilliant work
It’s a fascinating doco on Bonnie.
I’d like to see the uncut version.
This is an absolutely powerful writing, dear Peter! Your idea to bring several Starsrite member for a meaningful discussion on the Round Table is brilliant! Thanks a lot for including me!
I included you because I like your depth.🙏
