Staring into your eyes
is like looking into a double-sided mirror;
Me, the unsuspecting moth,
you, the fire, drawing me nearer.
You are the equal I’ve searched for
my entire life;
the other half of my soul
as if I’ve been created twice;
I used to think myself, a nonbeliever…
never believing in love,
and settled on being alone
until I couldn’t do that either…
We have a connection so deep,
it would make even the ocean jealous..
I love it when you match my energy,
even when I’m being a little hellish..
There are preemptive reasons why we should be kept apart;
but we are one in the same,
when it comes to matters of the heart;
No matter the time nor space,
we would find one another,
in this lifetime and the next.
I will spend all of them loving you
until my dying breath.
Our blood may be different,
but it flows the same…
We are of one soul in different bodies…
What’s the difference in a name?
