Love Sonnet LXVIII
If I wrote you a poem, would
you hear me? Would you read me,
swallow my metaphors, kiss my
similes into oblivion? I only
have words to offer, words filled
with allegories, stories of how the
moon holds my haiku, hoping to be
next to you. I only have this
pen, its ink flows like rivers of
Time in your direction, splashing
alliteration on the pages of your
heart. Yaraa, my beloved, are you
there? If I wrote this poem for you,
would you hear me? Or care?

hello dearest poet this is so beautifully written brimming with feeling and the gift of writer ❤️
Crimsin, thank you for your kind words on this poem. I am happy you found the ‘beauty’ and ‘feelings’.
“…splashing alliteration on the pages of your heart.” My, my, how poetically defined! I love your sonnets. What a gift you have of writing them!
Hi Kelly, you know I always love when I see you commenting on one of my poems. Thank you for ‘splashing’ some words on my poem.
As you can see, this is sonnet number 68, only 32 more to go. Then I will publish them as a tribute to Pablo Neruda.
I hope you are doing well. I must get over to WC soon and see if you posted some more poems there.
Your love Sonnets are like flowers… each has its own sweet scent, beauty and allure. This is gorgeous.
