When calloused hands touch skin
Shivers cascade through
Not wanting to break the spell
Felt as if this moment was meant for you
Looking into the depths of blackness
Seeing the care and want
Want to remove all the sadness
Understanding flows through that I can’t
Seconds are fleeting as dust blows
Waiting patiently for a tender kiss
Holding a breath as time flows
Would this be our moment of tenderness
Feeling the undercurrent of tremors
Hold the feverish attack
Once and only once we can stoke the embers
In our memories we can look back
One by one buttons release
Showing skin and becoming undone
Pulse throbbing as if on a leash
Why wait for the coming of the sun
The night perfumes of promises
Of wickedness unhinged
Nothing else can encompass
Both our wills, we will bend
Lips, teeth, and tongue collide
In a dance unpracticed
Consumed with lust un abide
Nothing on earth matches
Drink in the flavor of this night’s gifts
Unyielding is the haze
Eternity of sensual bliss
When parting dazed
Sure, as the world will burn
This inevitability will occur
Unease caused by the yearn
We will let this crash on the shore
Not tonight we both knew
Or joining will have to end
A single tear escaped for you
As you withdrew a calloused hand

What a lovely piece of writing Fia. Great rhymes, outstanding flow.
Thank you. Appreciate that. been a busy week for me
nothing wicked about this, but the sadness of it hits home here.
you display strength and insight.

Thank you, Jim;))
Yes a little sad but we think of life as a little calloused and the piece fits. Tight
Thank you, ME;))
Chère F.,
My heart jumps up a little, when I see you’ve posted one of your beautiful writes.
And this one is a wake up call for me. I’ve never given much thought about my hands as is done here.
It reminds me to work harder in my allotment garden.
An allotment garden on the edge of Amsterdam? Some people have all the luck huh?
Great poem.
I’ll be looking out for the next one.
Warm regards, Gus
Thank you, Gus😊

While the reader can not fail to get the message that both runs throughout and underpins this epic post, the penultimate and summative lines are surely to die for .. Write on sister F .. Neville 😎🌻👍
Thank you, Neville 😊
Such a bittersweet piece. The ache and yearn…and the stepping back. Totally felt
Thank you, Willow 😊
This is some vivid, intense scenery you painted here, Fia
Your words flowed very well for my eyes to follow and my mind to absorb.
Just lovely….
Thank you Naaj:))
Magnificently sensual and breathtakingly passionate. I could feel this encounter unfold through your vivid and powerful telling that brought me into the depths of the hearts of these lovers. And that closing with the calloused hand withdrawing made for an ending to be remembered, my friend.
