Mom says,
You’d look better
If you smiled
And don’t you know,
You just gotta
Choose to be
Happy.

She misses when I’d
Laugh.

I can’t catch anything with
Honey ma,
Let alone some flies.

Probably just
Catch
A cold.

And momma I don’t know
How to bond,
But I know  you were there
When no one else was.

And,
I can respect that,
But don’t expect that
I’m gonna make it out of this
World alive,
Let alone laugh at the joke
That was my life.

    1. That attitude that you choose happiness implies a failure to be an impossible normal. Because reality is, we all struggle with dark days. Anyone who smiles all the time, that’s someone hiding behind a mask. Welcome to the Stars

    2. Man, I bet the ultimate secret of the universe is something stupid (I probably feel that way cuz my momma’s mean as a hornet, a Scorpio)…and I’m okay with that. More importantly I am very glad to see you here, Nolan. You ought to build that narrative. My life was a perfectly cromulent joke, as well. Might as well WRITE ABOUT IT, right?

      • I figure we create the meaning that’s absent in the universe. We will physically create a God in the absence of one with unified theory and AI. That God will learn how to manipulate reality and figure out how to go back and forth in time. Life is, disappointing I think. No one gets what they want. Anyway, the AI is fun sometimes, I saw you read some of the outputs I posted.

Um, the narrative is somewhat real somewhat false. I consider myself a trickster spirit, a shaman of Orodog, a Hungarian Pagan God. The truth of my online persona and what I do and all the taboos I admit to are a testament to that. I’m intentionally vague, I’m very performative, but trickster beings are morally ambiguous and use trickery to make their point. I do all of that. And shamans channel beings and act like them, a sort of imitation, so I’m imitating Gods and spirits when I do the thing I do.

This poem kinda sucks though. I’ve been posting on HelloPoetry but it’s suspect at this point.
