as Poe’s Raven
opposed to the craving
craven is to deny your darkness
where in timid fair, outways your bleak
tis a midnight warning to all cowards
beware of the calling
it will exact chaos on your calm
Your mild-mannered ways will turn to dust
and a monster will stand in its place
stalking your visions, I see with a persistence you lust
upon my honor, I only scribe as I see
hearing the crow at my door
with a message from the nether world
beseeching your rage to be free
halt all carnage, let your terror cease
Whimsical fate has befallen you
a mistress of chance
who in your favor and like-minded breed
contempt for the damned
seeking, forever seeking to be avenged
on the morrow, unsheath your sword; it craves blood
on the altar of horror, a sacrifice is given
of the willing heart
keeping with honesty, as has always been the way
the spirits have bidden
it is with a heavy heart I relay

Damn, Brenda🔥
