Hello, Stars Rite members. This is another episode of the news.
It has come to my attention that even though we want to promote inclusivity on this site, intolerance and inappropriate verbiage of a person’s work to cause unease intentionally will not be tolerated.
We can make this site a little more comfortable for those individuals who just want to conversate with their friends.

For those of you who have friends that enjoyed their writings. You can set up your account to private only. You go to your profile then your account settings.> In the account settings.> The privacy settings. Make your profile private only for friend’s access.
I would think that this would be a little limiting, because even though this is a small site, it has been growing slowly but steadily, and I would love for all of you to be seen and heard.
We are all individuals. We are all adults. We do not have to comment on everyone’s work. It is encouraged that we do comments because we are all poets and writers and like feedback. But we don’t have to go after each other, because we have a difference in opinion and we do not have to specifically target a person. So, they feel that they are unwelcome on a site that is encouraging people to come.
Everyone should be able to submit their work without fear of being chased off.
Other news, we have set up a discord page. When you go on to the site, if you are part of discord, you’ll see your work’s posted there automatically, and the reason that was created is to soon have a poetry gathering. No matter where you are, we can get together and discuss A poem or 2 in depth, and everybody can express their point of view.
this is just an idea in the progress. We’re still working out the signal to make sure it’s a strong signal that everyone can join. If they so, choose to. You do not have to speak in the gathering if you do not want to but that is the option on discord that we do not have on Stars Rite yet.
You can text in your responses, if you want to participate, we will tell you the date of when the first poetry gathering will happen.
Before ending this off, there is another slight change that has occurred on the site. When you want people to comment on your work, it used to be Enable / Disables now it’s Comments and Status, under the writing drop down box on the main page.
I want to say that individuality is encouraged on the site. Be yourself. But at the same time, understand people are being themselves and deserve a little grace in allowing them to express how they are, how they feel and what they experience. Without feeling like they are going to be chased off the site. (I had to reiterate that statement) I hope we are all on the same page.
After all we are all under the same stars.

Well said, Fia, this world is tough enough to live in without individuals being unpleasant to other writers. If they cannot show respect and courtesy for all our views, our creativity, our individual styles, our characters, our ways of writing as authors and poets, then this absolutely wonderful site isn’t for them.
