A black clad leather demon claiming to be the lizard king
Mr. Mojo Rising up on stage dancing in the summer rain
Doors are infinitely open to perception as he starts to sing
While young people bare witness to a world gone insane
Strange people are taking random drives in the moonlight
Ready to break on through waiting to reach the other side
A ceramic frog with a peace sign hanging over love street
While the city sleeps the truth is hidden in this soft parade
A simple ode to Morrison to reflect his influence on me
He taught me that powerful words can set the truth free

Just revisited the Olive Stone film The Doors last week. It still holds up. Great! This poem is awesome Damian. The Doors were revolutionary for the few short years they were around. Killer poem.
