Just smoked a joint

Dad came home

unexpectedly

Caught me

Hard to explain

that odor

Said I sounded

like Morrison

then and now

Still sing

    1. Hoi hoi @Poetspeak,
      Hope this finds you well?!

How recognisable! My parents didn’t mind. They feared nicotine more than the occasional joint.
      Maybe Amsterdam being the difference?

Love your writes. Keep them coming please.
      Kind regards, Gus

    2. Beautifully penned, Speak. Excellent write my friend. Morrison was one of a kind indeed. Odd fact, Robby Krieger the Guitarist actually wrote the lyrics to “Touch Me” among other Doors songs. He was like their secret weapon in a sense, Morrison did write the bulk of their lyrics though. This is why I love poems referencing music. Nicely done. Appreciate you.
