Thought reading,
in a Sunday morning light
Red Dragon book in hand
And coffee mug on the stand, as a soldier
Serving quick bullet shots of caffein
On my command.
I couldn’t stop thinking of
The visionary lines of Blake
And the macabre of Lecter.
Pearl Jam blasted in my ears.
And in the midst of all that
The sun, sneaking up
In a failed attempt to scare me
But instead, she did steal me away.

This is quite a piece. It has so much depth.
Thank you, Patricia! “)
I was lost in this…

I know what you’re reading!
“All while Pearl Jam blasting in my ears.” Change the tense on your verb here. “Pearl Jam blasted in my ears”
I love it. Any horror fiction that I can lay my hands unto is a favorite read. Haha

Pearl Jam! This is a visual I can get behind! You set the tone of the room, the vibe, the day, the mood, all my senses identified with this. Love it!

Brilliantly penned, M.E. A very powerful read, again fantastic imagery my friend. Loved the movies, mainly because, Hopkins is a great actor. Appreciate you.
