My gothic romance caresses midnight
With a sigh and a weep
Macabre lingers in the cemetery
talking to spirits
Whispering secrets to the dead, listening
A darkened world beckons
and I become enamored by the odd
beguiling and honest, they covet a misfit
intriguing the bleak in me
Donning black to represent my perpetual sorrow
Moody essence, I scowl
pouring my thoughts out without saying a word
Gloom follows me
a dour look on my painted black lips
Satirical wit sets me apart
With sarcastic observations,
The horde knows I’m one of their own
The dark kisses my sigh
And I am taken into the night
entering a maze of intrigue
wandering through the haze
hedonistic sex and heady music
realizing I’ve always been here
sunflower my disguise
emptiness my value
it entertains the nomdatic
Traveling the abandoned castles
lighting candles for the departed
