    • Yes, that was a good movie too. Their fates were sealed.

    • I have always seen fog as a kind of veil, wrapped around secrets and mysteries. Now I know that it can also be a good hiding place for evil spirits. My confidence is shattered. 😉 the repetition of out of the Fog! is masterfully spooky!
      A magnificent piece, my friend!

      • I live near the bay and my neighborhood is one of the 1st areas to witness the fog rolling in. It’s quite eerie and intriguing. This is a classic film. Check it out when you have some time. Thanks Elke. xoxo

    • Powerfully penned, Keith. Excellent write my friend. Anything John Carpenter put his name on is a classic. Appreciate you.

  • thoughts from a cold bed

Death is certain, pre ordained, determined, silent.Silent enough for us not to notice.Dying is around us in every moment of living. It's the price we pay for 'being'.We're born with entropy in every cell. It's the natural way,to descend into chaos, then oblivion.Declination is the...

    • hello dearest Benny good afternoon this is a morbid thought but I live in the country and while outside the flies were driving me nuts and it occurred to me we were walking carcasses and the little bastard was looking for a way in while I was yet living… what happens at a funeral you are right I just hope by then I am onto better things this is a great write ❤️

    • I was tasked with doing several military funerals back in my Army days. It is extremely somber. And, the occasional one after the military years. I’ve always tried to think of it as a celebration of their life. Sometimes it’s how we get through such things.
Your write is a really good “on point” of how it can play out. And how you built the scenario earlier.
Who knows, man, who knows. best we enjoy it while we can.

    • Powerful piece my friend. The wording and the flow of this poem gives me a chill and makes me think of my very own existence. Marvelous write Benny.

      • This is an excellent piece, my friend. Not to mention that the construction gives it unusual life. I got a big chuckle out of “Human Beings evolved into Human Goings.” The humor does not detract from the truth of it. One note you might want to fix: There’s a line that begins, “I’ll will miss him …” Choose one, please. 🙂
        Very, very nice work.

        • Thanks….I hate it when there are grammar errors ….so thanks for pointing it out.
I read that piece back so many times and still missed it.

          • You are not alone there, Peter — or do you prefer Benny? I’ve seen both in other’ comments. Or should I call you, “BackDeck”? Maybe Decky? I could continue asking, but …
Yeah, I swear that half the time I don’t find errors until I’ve posted that whatever flawed thing.
            Great piece though, BDBP.

            • Call me anything you like just don’t call me late for dinner….lol

              • Okay, Beelzebub, but I prefer short names so I don’t have to type so much. I have an injured right paw at the moment so I have to be careful. maybe I’ll call you Pete. But I WON’T be calling you for dinner — unless you bring the chow and beer. Where in the world do you live?
By the way, do you work at all in Spoken Word? Have anything on audio you might want to share or have posted? I’ve started a Spoken Word group and I’m looking for potential members.

    • Thank you for allowing my ink to splatter, Brenda. I don’t know why we don’t team-up more often. My dirge is available even in the throes of my tuna casserole.

      • hello dearest Adagio it’s always a pleasure to write with you and we will do more collaborations I’m sure I’m really pleased how this one came out thank you ❤️

    • This is good. The flow is nicely done. Nice job to both of you.
