    • Interesting! I didn’t know about the band name story or anything. Now I feel like listening to Blondie. “)
      Well done Damian!

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, M.E. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. I’m glad you learned some things you didn’t know. Listen away, great band. Appreciate you.

    • First of all, dammit I miss the reading list option. Rest assured I would be smacking that button if it existed here! I absolutely love Blondie! You should have heard me squeal when I saw the title of this episode…before I even opened it. I remember losing my mind whenever they actually played Heart of Glass on MTV back in the day. Something about their music felt natural to me, not as cultivated for the masses of popularity. So excited to see them featured in this episode, my friend! 🙌

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. I miss the RL option as well. There is a bookmark option, I guess it’s supposed to be the same thing. lol. I love Blondie. The reunion album was killer. In 1998 they released- “No Exit” the whole album is incredible. Different styles some jazz vibes, some country vibes even. Debbie also raps again. This time on the song, No Exit. She raps with Coolio on the song. Appreciate you.

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Adira. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. If you loved “Rapture” may I recommend “No Exit” the title track of the album with the same title. It was released in 1998 as a new studio album. The whole album was outstanding with different music styles. But, “No Exit” has rap in it. It’s a collaboration though with Blondie & Coolio. Debbie & Coolio swap back and forth. Killer song. Appreciate you.

    • First two albums are great. After that they sold out. Great write. Informative and well written.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Keith. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. Appreciate you.

    • A poem of life, death, and time. Well done, Damian!

    • It sadly resonates with me…in the form of soul searching, in the process of healing.
      Great write Damian ⚘️

    • This really hits so many issues in just one short poem. For some reason it brings to mind the insane deportations…families torn apart. Probably because that’s my fear, my daughter…Muse on, my friend. I’m here for it

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Some of that is in this write, good on you for spotting that. Well lets hope some more people wake up a grow a set. Appreciate you.

        Damian

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Adira. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Appreciate you, back.

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Tim. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Being an alcoholic who no longer partakes, I’ll say the biggest thing I’ve learned is how many people I hurt. When I was consumed by the disease, I couldn’t see that. I rationalized I was only hurting myself, that’s how hollow I had become. Appreciate you.

      Damian

    • Wise words blended into a tight rhyming poem. You’re good at this stuff!

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Mark. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Thank you so much, that means a lot me. Appreciate you.

        Damian

    • A philosophical and strong poem. Well done.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Keith. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Appreciate you.

Backstage - Kiss And The Psycho Circus Debacle

Welcome Backstage. I’m your host, Damian DeadLove. I got an interesting story tonight that kinda makes my blood boil just thinking about it. Our band for the night is “Kiss” but more importantly the “Psycho Circus” album....

    • I can understand your anger here. To put out a lie and profit off it. Incredible. Nice one Damian

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. It was a great album before I knew the truth. I loved the record, that’s why I can only listen to the one song now. Appreciate you.

        Damian

    • I gotta say this & get it out of the way…I have never understood how they walked, much less performed in those platform boots! I could see why your blood would boil over them not actually being as actively involved as sold to be. Rather takes the sparkle out of the stars

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. I never did either, though they moved awkwardly at times. But Paul would jump in the air with them on, how he didn’t shatter an ankle is beyond me. Thing was I loved the album, until the truth came out. I remember looking at the album and thinking it’s all a lie. They had Ace and Peter sing, just wouldn’t let them play. It sucked, still makes me mad. But they went one step further, they put two other musicians in the Spaceman & Cat makeup. They care more about money, than the fans. Appreciate you.

        Damian

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Adira. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. They were killer on that 96 tour, but to tell you the truth the “Revenge” tour without makeup, that was a show. Best musically, they were flawless. Appreciate you.

    Backstage - (Origins Of A Name-Lynyrd Skynyrd)

Welcome Backstage. I’m your host, Damian DeadLove. I’m here to share the knowledge I’ve learned over many summers. There will be different flavors to this show I’m sure. I was a lyricist on the local scene off...

    • 😅 That is cool. We all changed the name of coaches/teachers who are righteous pains in the butt’s. Mine was Ms Fatea. But I called her Ms. Fatta. Yup I was a bad kid.
      Like this Damian

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. I was a bad kid as well. lol. Appreciate you.

    • This is so dope. I enjoy getting the backdrop to the bands I grew
listening to back when NY radio was really all inclusive.

      Much respect

      Naaj

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Naaj. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. Cool, there will be more.. Back when radio was king. To quote the band, The Buggles: “Video killed the radio star.” Which was the first video ever on MTV. Of course technology buried them, Radio & TV. Appreciate you.

        Damian

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Tim. There’s always a chance someone has heard the story, it depends on the level of fan, and music knowledge. lol. Great song, great band. Both, Skynyrd, & Floyd were great bands. Appreciate you.

      Damian

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Adira. Glad you enjoyed the story my friend. Alice, has a similar story. The fans started calling him, Alice. Because it was the Alice Cooper Band, so he just legally changed his name and went with it. He was going by his real name, Vince Furnier, in the early days. In fact in the lyrics of the song: “Be My Lover,” he makes mention of it. ” She asked me why the singers name was Alice, I said, Listen, baby, you really wouldn’t understand. I went off on a tangent, happens when I talk music. lol. Appreciate you.

      Damian

    • See? I learn something new every time I read you. We used to sing that song Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah to annoy our parents. I’m pretty sure I had a P.E. teacher much like that guy. )I have understandably blocked his name from memory.) As soon as I read what that guy at the beginning said, I started shaking my head….no, no, no…not a singular dude…a group! Happy to hear I wasn’t wrong! 😂

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you enjoyed the read my friend. Well I try to be informative. lol. I purged the names of most teachers who taught me, there are 3 or 4, I remember for good reasons. I had one guy actually say this: “I like Def Leppard, he’s a good singer.” I’m not kidding, that was the craziest one I’ve heard. When Van Halen, was on the club scene, headlining Gazzarri’s I believe. The owner was always calling, (David Lee Roth) Van. I shit you not. lol. Appreciate you.

        Damian

    • I didn’t know the backdrop on the group’s name, so that’s fascinating. I actually met several of these guys a few years ago. They are from the Mississippi area, or at least they visit here frequently. I’m sure you know there was a plane crash in McComb MS a long time ago where the band went down. (I wasn’t there for that)

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, DK. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. That’s cool that you got to meet some of the guys in the bands. I think the band was formed in Jacksonville, Florida, but I could see them visiting frequently. But yes I know about the plane crash, several were injured, and three died. Including the lead singer. Thanks for sharing your story of them. Appreciate you.

        Damian

        • Yeah, I met Ricky and several others. I guess that’s his name… long brown hair and crazy as hell. He jumps around like a Kangaroo Rat or something. Not a conversationalist. But I was at a lake house party held by this really rich fellow whose family knows the band.
There’s a pond behind my house with catfish. We invited the guys to all come out there to fish and they came!
